Not a walk of shame

It was not a walk of shame,
It was the last hug.
The last holding of hands and a final good bye.
Giving up on a life of numbered days.
"Moving on" are just not two words
Its an eternity of "what ifs and what nots"
Of an uncertainty of regret or letting go.
Putting the memories safe in a place,
Just in subconscious but not to efface.
It was not a bitter end to wonderful times
But togetherness to last a lifetime.
It was not a walk of shame.

Men are the new Women

Men are the new age Women,
The crib, they cry, at times even shed a tear
Smirk on who will be in the party and where
Gossip, exaggerate and some need brassiere
Scared of rides, ah so much fear.

There are also those who dont drive forget skydive
On skim milk and low fat meals they survive
Take time to dress and late would arrive
They whine, make faces and among them connive
Say "I have a headache" and wives sleep deprive

When Memories are a blur and voices start fading
The dreams are blank and Hatred is all gone
Birthdays are forgotten and life takes over
Little remembrances are washed out forever
I tell to myself...It is then when I will move on
But do recollections or the past ever get erased
Wouldn't it be fortuitous to desire such existence
After you have loved someone once and for all...
